Origin: Soviet Union, mid of 20th century.
Length in scabbard – 33,9 cm, without – 31,3 cm. Weight in scabbard – 284 g, without – 167 g.
Blade: straight double edged blade with central ridge and ricasso of flat rectangular cross-section. On the one side of ricasso a maker’s mark with inscription BULAT in Cyrillic and date 19... – two last numbers of the date worn off. Blade’s length – 21,2 cm.
Hilt: brass guard with round ends, one bent down and one bent up. Brass lower fitting and the pommel. Grip of yellow bone of mammoths. A button for fixing the blade on the lower brass fitting. Soviet Union coat of arms on the pommel.
Scabbard: of black leathers, with mounts, one fitting and chape of gilt brass. Two suspension rings. A soviet star in beams of the sun on the one side of mounts, and tower of Kremlin on the other side of mounts.
Condition report: blade in good condition, with no traces of corrosion, with scratches. Brass parts with natural patina, scratches and dents, gilding worn off. Bone grip with natural patina, some scratches. Lether of the scabbard with certain amount of wear, with scratches and dents.
