Description
Origin: Flemish or French, 17th century.
Height 37 cm.
Two-piece gorget with finely turned and roped edges. Continuous lining rivets on a decorative strip with wavy edges. The slightly ridged breast plate with brass appliqué with the symbol of the French dauphin Louis XIV.
Condition report: in very good condition. Just insignificant pitting from corrosion in places, some scratches and dents. Small cracks of metal. Inner part with blackening survived, some traces of corrosion.
