Description

Circa 1928. Ducks or other livestock are removed from a decorated cage and placed into an ornate box with a slatted front. At the magician’s command, the livestock visibly and instantly vanish. The box is disassembled and all pieces are laid flat atop the cage. The screen table supporting the box is folded flat and shown on all sides to complete the mystery. Box and cage beautifully made and elaborately stenciled by Thayer. Screen table is later Owen-made. A rare and seldom-seen effect. Condition: Very good.
