SWISS / AMERICAN POCKET WATCHES, LOT OF SIX, including a Bulova 15-jewel example in gold-filled open-face case, movement marked "17AH", having metallic dial with gilt hands, a Gruen VeriThin 15-jewel example in gold-filled open-face VeriThin case, serial number 479948, with enamel dial, a Gruen VeriThin 17-jewel example in gold-filled open-face VeriThin case with applied silver-tone decoration to bezel, and monogram to back, serial number 602240, with metallic dial, and a 16-jewel example in gold-filled open-face case, movement marked "ABRA WATCH CO." and "SWISS", with double-sunk metallic dial with gilt decoration. First half 20th century. Approximately size 8.
Excellent condition overall, minimal expected wear to cases, undescribed example with wear/tarnish to metallic dial, some crystals likely replaced, including one discolored. Four examples currently in working condition, 17-jewel Gruen and one undescribed example wound tight, likely need cleaning, but otherwise appear to be in good order (see Catalogue Guarantee).
