Marion was a graduate of Washington School of Art and the Northwestern Academy of Watercolor. She was a member of the Brandywine River Museum, National League of American Pen Women, Center for the Creative Arts, Pennsylvania Society of Watercolor Painters, Chestertown Art League, Chester County Art Association, and the Studio Group. The Studio Group is a group of female artists working out of the Howard Pyle studio on Franklin Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
