An exquisite pair of gold repousse snuff bottles with a raised dragon motif in mirrored image form topped with matching dragon head stoppers. Motifs on the bottles include ruyi clouds and a dragon chasing a Flaming Pearl on each. There is a key-fret diaper on the rim and two of lotus below on the shoulder. The bottles stand proudly on individual green carved stands. The pierced gallery of the glass display case is exquisitely carved. The bottom stand reveals a gold silk compass on one side surrounded by zodiac symbols. The reverse side displays a SHOU character with a fish roe background. The stands base features an ornate pierced gallery skirt.
Mark on base, inscised Qianlong four characters reign mark. Qing Dynasty.

PROVENANCE: From The Collections of Mrs. Alice Marie Hazell, Reached the wonderful age of 81 being born in 1935-2017.
She was the spouse of the late victor Hazell together they had traveled the world together they enjoyed visiting museums and later became employed by several smaller museums, Victor Hazell was placed in charge of procuring many of the items for the various museums, while his specialties were bronzes he developed a passion for jade and porcelain items. In the early stages in his career he found that he could find items of great value that the museums had no room for or had similar items in their inventory.
Having the resources to date and value the items he found became a real serendipity for him, it started out as a few collectables to a full-scale collection.
With the sale of these collectibles it is hoped for that another private collector will add these treasures to their portfolio and treasure them as much as Victor did.
