Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st century BCE to 1st century CE. A diminutive yet sturdy pale-green translucent glass vessel (patella cup) with a wide and flat-footed base which is pinched at the top, rolled side walls that flow into a collared rim, and a vertically out-folded lip. Cloudy rainbow and silver iridescence adorns all surfaces of this firm-based bowl. Size: 3" Diameter (7.6 cm).

Age-commensurate surface wear, small nicks to foot and rim, with areas of light roughness to body exterior, otherwise intact and excellent. Great earthen and mineral deposits as well as rainbow and silver iridescence throughout.
