Description
French Provincial Carved Walnut Sideboard, late 19th c., the ogee edge curved corner top over two frieze drawers above double cupboard doors with long iron escutcheons and fiche hinges, separated by a reeded pilaster, on cabriole legs joined by a serpentine skirt, H.- 45 1/4 in., W.- 57 1/2 in., D.- 24 1/4 in.
Condition
Surface planks with slight separation, more significant at back approximately 16 inches at back right. 3 inch crack to veneer at back left, 3 ½ scuff front left. Dark staining throughout including a 3 ½ inch circular stain at left. Residue also present at left. Pinhead holes throughout. Side panels of case beginning to separate. Left cupboard door with chip to bottom left of and bottom right corner of panel.
