Old circa 1908, 46 star parade flag, printed silk. Animated star pattern in canton as each horizontal row alternates the tilt of stars in that row. On July 4th, 1908, a 46th star was officially added to the US flag to represent the entry within the previous 12 months of the "Indian Territory" as the state of Oklahoma. Exterior dimensions are about 16-1/2" x 11-1/2". (an easily framable size for display). Edges are machine hemmed, except the bottom edge which is machine selvaged. Condition: light soiling, fold lines.
