Bellin's beautifully designed and highly detailed map of Acadia and "neighboring countries." With superb coastal details and many place names, the map encompasses present-day Nova Scotia (part of which is named Acadie here), Cape Breton Island (Isle Royale), Prince Edward Island (Isle Saint Jean) and part of New Brunswick. A note under Acadia states that the fishing here is "very good." From the atlas of Prevost d'Exiles' Histoire Generale des Voyages.

Condition: b&w; overall age toning; some minor spotting; a tiny repaired puncture hole in the lower left quadrant; margins extended with contemporary paper to fit the size of the atlas volume
