A mid Victorian lava cameo necklace. Comprising nineteen graduated oval-shape and vari-colour lava cameo panels, each depicting Bacchante, suspending three pear-shape lava cameo drops. Length 52cms.

Condition

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Lava cameos in various hues of brownish-red, yellowish-brown, grey and cream.

Lava cameos are in fair condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the surfaces and edges.

One of the pear-shape lava cameos with a surface crack across the width of the stone.

Some lava cameos with small surface scratches and minor abrasions.

Length of largest cameo and drop 7.8cms.

Length of smallest cameo 2.2cms.

Total weight 97.1gms.
