Louis XV-Style Mahogany Chaise Longue

late 19th century, the domed and padded back surmounted by a foliate crest, above the long cushioned seat, raised on cabriole legs headed by gilt floral capitals and ending in scrolled toes.

In good "as found" condition. The surface exhibits minor rubbing, mars and wear consistent with age and use. The legs all appear to be tight. The center leg on the extended back side has an area of white filler along its seam, suggesting a previous repair. The back exhibits a slight shrinkage separation at the seam of the stile and crest rail. There is a small amount of play at that point, but overall the piece appears functionally stable and usable. The upholstery is dusty/dirty with some light wear. No notable stains detected.
