Condition
Surface dirt; toning of the varnish layer; not relined; area of inpainting center/left (screen) with no
corresponding patch en verso; signs of inpainting lower center (rug) and mid-center (bedding); signs of
inpainting upper center (drapery and wall). Signs of inpainting in upper and lower painted tan area under
the frame, some with corresponding patches en verso; signs of inpainting along lower edge. Ornate gilt
frame with wood and metal insert; surface marks, nicks and abrasions.
