Belle Epoque Glass, Marble, Bronze and Brass Vitrine
early 20th century, the upper section with curved glass panels in a cast metal frame adorned with fluted columns and fleurs-de-lis, on a marble top with a molded edge, the lower case with curved glazed corners and like decor, on a mahogany base with a pair of drawers, raised on brass feet.

Provenance: By oral tradition, the present display case was found in a New Orleans store.

Condition
In very good "as found" condition.
The piece is extremely stable and appears sturdy.
There is normal rubbing and wear throughout, most notably to the edges of the wooden base. Normal
oxidation to metal elements.
There is a shallow chip, about 3/8" by 1-1/2" on the edge of one of the small upper corner pieces of glass,
largely obscured by the metal framework. No other cracks, chips or breaks to the glass noted.
A later lock and key are present for the upper section.
The thick marble exhibits a crack from an outside edge extending about 4" in. There are a few scattered
small chips and surface irregularities, and a shallow surface crack.
