Description
A pair of carved cinnabar vases dating from the 18th to 19th century. Each has 4 vignettes on the neck and body; the body features scenes of men and women in landscape settings, and the neck features flowers and plants. The two bands are separated by a ruyi border and also feature geometric and stylized floral borders at the rim and base. The background of the vases is a diamond shaped repeating geometric design.
Dimensions are: each vase measures 17 inches tall X 7 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate
Condition: The vases have hairline cracks from age and there are small chips in several areas on the borders of the friezes.
