BOOKS: 1928 Mag w/Original Yoshida Woodblock Print, [Japanese Emperor Hirohito (Showa)] Enthronement Edition of The Japan Advertiser Magazine. November 1928, Tokyo. Bound in hardcovers with ribbon ties. 12 x 17 inches. 180 pages with sepia-tone photos throughout and one original woodblock color print title "Himeji Castle" by Hiroshi Yoshida tipped in. "... a complete account of the Enthronement Ceremonies from December 25, 1926, to December 13, 1928."

Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925

Fair, with heavy wear to covers, small piece missing from back cover near spine, some text pages creased, small tears, fingerprints, etc., woodblock print has fingerprint and small crease on border, not affecting image, be advised that all lots in this sale will exhibit some degree of wear due to age and/or handling
