Pre-Columbian, Caribbean/Florida, Taino people, ca. 10th to 15th century CE. A creamy brown chert dagger, knapped to have a short tang and a two-sided blade with one face smooth and the other with a ridge from the knapping process. Taino art included many ceremonial stone weapons like this dagger alongside sacred stone mortars and axes. Size: 2.5" W x 8.25" H (6.4 cm x 21 cm)
