Description
Group of Pre-Columbian Archaic Colima Standing Figures from Mexico, ca. 100 B.C. Four similar solid buff pottery standing “ginger bread” type figures, all depicted with elongated conical heads. Two wearing applied necklaces and one with a fancy headdress. Scattered mineral deposits on the surfaces. 7” in height to 8-1/2” in height.
Condition
The example with the fancy headdress has a reattached left arm and right leg. The example that has traces of black painted decoration has a chip on the tip of the crown and nose. The smallest example has left arm, both legs and head reattached. The remaining figure is intact.
