Description
PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN PRINTED AND HAND-COLORED FRAKTUR, inscribed for Cassereine Franzista Elisabeth, of Macungie Township, PA, born 1846. Unframed, in protective sleeve. Together with a cut-out silhouette scene depicting a young woman in garden setting, signed to bottom edge, under glass, and a mixed-media image of vase with flowers, reverse-painted with applied foil to the unpainted areas, each framed. Three pieces total. 19th century. Fraktur 16 1/2" x 13 3/4" OA, remainder 14 3/4" x 13" and 13 7/8" x 17 3/4" OA.
Very good condition overall, expected minor toning/discoloration, some flaking to reverse-painted surfaces.
