Scarce presentation copy signed by Knowles with an inscription to Peter Cosgreave, Esq. Sound book in excellent conditon for its age. Pub. 1840 by Edward Moxon (first thus). Rubbing to extremities with tips just starting to show (the boards are black so it's hard to see them coming through). Some scuffing to bottom spine end. Black half leather looks quite nice--it's only at the edges, joints and spine ends where there is evidence of rubbing. Marbled paper half covers are still quite lovely with rubbing only at edges. Five raised bands on spine are rubbed. Gilt titling still vivid. Both plays are 116 pages in length. 5.75 x 8.75.
