105. RARE JUDAIC POSTER FEATURING SHEINDELE THE CHAZANTE. American, c. 1940. Sheindele the Chazente (Jean Gornish) who was a female performer of Jewish cantorial and liturgical music. In the early 40s Planters Sponsored her American tour which filled Large stadiums. The poster also features advertisements for a New York City radio station and Planters Edible Oil's Planters hi hat peanut oil which was a kosher oil made by a subsidiary of planters peanut company. It includes a photo of the singer and a photo of the oil can as well an ad in Hebrew. 11" x 14".
