Description
A Georgian Mourning Bracelet. Painted with a young woman standing alongside an urn reading "Safe will I keep these dear remains" beneath a willow tree, an angel pierces a rose with an arrow at the left; under glass, in an unmarked yellow gold frame. Inscribed on the reverse, "Capell. Whitmore ob: 2 Apr. 1760 abt: 20". Velvet band adorned with glass beads and diamond simulants. Image and gold are in good condition, fabric is worn with loose and missing beads. 7 1/4" long overall. ESTIMATE $600-800 NOTE: Jewelry and Watches Must be Paid by Wire Transfer Only
