Description
DESCRIPTION: Two Roland Jahn (Germany/Philadelphia, B. 1934) free-form glass vases. Includes: 1) Tall flute shaped vase with tempered body in shades of blue, green, and black. Etched along bottom "Roland Jahn 1978". 12-3/8" high. 2) Free-form vase with tempered body in shades of blue, green, black, and amber. Etched on bottom "R. Jahn '76" with "RJ" stamped glass. 8-3/4" high. Jahn studied glassmaking at the University of Wisconsin, and founded the first glass program at Philadelphia College of the Arts, now known as The University of the Arts. MEASUREMENTS: See Description. CONDITION: Slight scuffing to bottom consistent with age and display. Short vase with inherent imperfection.
