A LOUIS XVI STYLE BRASS BOULLE INLAID MAHOGANY BONHEUR DU JOUR, 19TH/20TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY FRENCH, the arched shaped back, centering inlaid etched brass of fruiting and flowering vases within rinceaux scrolling, fronted by two graduating open shelves with string inlay, raised on turned tapered brass supports, above two small string inlaid drawers, surmounting a surface inlaid with a Neoclassical style flower vase with integral basks and swag decoration, flanked by adorsed dolphin form rinceaux and Greek key motifs, within a molded brass mounted edge, opening to an interior fitted with a gilt tooled, green leather writing surface, over a single long drawer with like rinceaux boullework, flanked by string inlaid sides and blocks, raised on brass mounted, ring turned, tapered, fluted legs, on turned feet, terminating in brass sabots, joined by a concave "X" form stretcher, centering a rectangular, string inlaid open shelf. There is some mild patina on the brass throughout. Horizontal cracking of leather at folding crease. Overall with very mild surface wear, occasional chips near the turned areas of the legs and feet, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
