Description
EUROPE, 17TH-EARLY 18TH CENTURY A pair of Continental carved and gilt wood and cast zinc figural candelabra. The candelabra sit on a fluted column base with rounded foot rising into a narrow shaft with spire form finial supporting two scrolled arms with floral medallions adorned with gilt chain and teardrop form elements. The candelabra are ornamented with opposing cast zinc figures of putti, notice the individualized feathers of their wings and their facial and hair features. The candelabra are each mounted on a white marble plinth.
Each measures approximately 21" tall by 12" wide by 5 1/2" deep.

Condition
Minor loss and wear to gilt wood finish, candle sockets replaced most likely during the 19th century, otherwise good original condition.
