Description
**First Time At Auction**

Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A squat terracotta blackware vessel with a small foot, a wide body, rolled shoulders, a narrow neck, and a wide mouth with a flared rim. Two upturned loop handles are on either side of the body and just barely grace the rim. The top half of the body is colored in a matte black color, and dot-shaped, circular, and wave-like motifs in white pigment detail one side. The inside of the rim is also black, however the interior of the vessel, as well as the lower half of the exterior, are unadorned. Size: 2.625" H (6.7 cm).
