Description
Glazed ceramic. China, Song to Yuan, 12th to 13th cent.
Beautiful, red-brown glaze; partial, fine, black and silver speckling. Elegantly curved walls; lip flush with the walls; minimal drop formation with a fine crack from firing. The glaze on the outside of the bowl ends very unevenly without any beading. The biscuit is whiteyellowish and slightly blackened.
Condition report: Good condition for its age, no signs of use.
HEIGHT 5,5 CM, DIAMETER 14,3 CM
Once part of the Swiss collection of Juergen L. Fischer, Ascona. Mr. Fischer has written multiple publications about the field of Chinese art.
