1843-O NGC AU-55 $10 Gold Eagle SS Republic. This coin was recovered from the SS Republic shipwreck. It was graded by NGC as an AU-53. Only 34 of this type and mint mark were pulled from the wreck that were in gradable problem free condition. There are only 8 coins graded higher of this particular type with the SS providence. Seven of them are AU-58s and just one loan MS-61 example. Making this type the 3rd highest known grade! This is an incredible rarity and great opportunity to own a coin with this providence as they comes to market very rarely.
