Original concert poster for a Psychedelic Daze Revue featuring Iron Butterfly, Richie Havens and the Vipers with The Joshua Light Show Presents The Speed Of Light Show all performing on Friday, February 19th, 1988 at the location of Bill Graham's legendary Fillmore East in NYC that later became the also historic/legendary gay nightclub The Saint. Art by Flicky Ford and printing by Jericho Daze In excellent condition for its age with some general wear/handling. Fillmore era California 60s psychedelic cultural memorabilia connected to the folk and rock music scene of America, Woodstock and Greenwich Village given the superb and unequaled Mr. Richie Havens and then the continuing evolution of the NYC nightclub scene in the 1980s. "Iron Butterfly is an American rock band best known for the 1968 hit "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", providing a dramatic sound that led the way towards the development of hard rock and heavy metal music. Formed in San Diego, California, among band members who used to be "arch enemies", their heyday was the late 1960s, but the band has been reincarnated with various members with varying levels of success, with no new recordings since 1975. The band's seminal 1968 album In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is among the world's 40 best-selling albums, selling more than 30 million copies. Iron Butterfly is also notable for being the first group to receive an RIAA platinum award. The Saint was an American gay superclub, located in the East Village neighborhood of the Manhattan borough of New York City, New York; it operated from 1980 to 1988. It opened in the old premises of the Fillmore East, a 1926-built, former-theater-turned-classic-rock-and-roll venue of the late 1960s and early 1970s, at 105 Second Avenue at 6th Street. The Saint was opened by Bruce Mailman and his business partner and his architectural designer, Charles Terrell.
