Description
East Asia, China, ca. 1920s CE. A beautiful set of Art Deco carved jade and gold tone metal place card holders. Each one presents a seated bearded Buddhist figure finely carved from green jade with nicely incised details, that is attached to the vertical holder/clip emerging from the rectangular footed stand which is inset with a carved and incised white jade openwork composition. Some of the white jade bases feature an abstract bird design and others feature floral motifs - these designs visible from above and below. A stunning set sure to dress up any dinner party. Size: 1.625" W x 2.375" H (4.1 cm x 6 cm)
