Description
Canadian Pacific Railway Syrup Jug with attached underplate. With the Railway Log etched on one side. CPR exited the passenger train business in the early 1970's. They sold all of their silverware used in their dining cars through their own shop called "CP Bygones". This silver plated syrup jug with attached tray was purchased directly from CP Bygones. This jug was normally utilized for individual table servings of syrup for pancakes. Item is 5" long x 4" high and has hinged lid. Weight Underside of item hallmarked "Elkington Plate" with their shield and three smaller logos underneath and also "A.T. Wiley & Co - Montreal." Item #20595. Excellent condition. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate.
