Thomas a Kempis’s most famous and important work has, for centuries, been ‘The Imitation of Christ.’ It has widely been known to have influence important Christian conversion including that of John Wesley and John Newton.
This 1688 printing features a commentary by Ralph Widdrington, a portion with separate title and pagination and features the translation and edits of Sébastien Castellion, a French theologian who was one of the first Reformed Christians to emphasize religious toleration in his writings.
