Description
Stanley Mouse designed this interesting poster for a benefit show for Alton Kelley after his house burned down (hence the “Fire Dance”), at The Carousel Ballroom in June 1968. The benefit was originally planned for May 8, 1968, as noted on the poster, but it was rescheduled for June 12. This date was also placed on the poster. The Charlatans, Dan Hicks, Steve Miller, and Jefferson Airplane were slated for the event, but Jefferson Airplane cancelled because of the date change. These were printed in a small quantity and are quite scarce.
