Southern Federal inlaid dining room table, cherry and other woods with tiger maple inlay veneers, poplar secondary, consisting of two D-shaped banquet ends with swing legs, each having three tiger maple inlaid panels spanning the apron, edge of apron and cuffs of feet with alternating ebony and boxwood barberpole inlay, square tapering legs with incised line pattern on stiles and tapering sword pattern to legs, each banquet end measuring 30" H x 47-1/2" W x 24-1/2" D with leaf down (45" D with leaf up; other table measures 44-3/4" D with leaf up). A later narrow central table insert with wooden pegs, 47 1/2" W x 3-3/4" D, connects the two Hepplewhite sections for a single table configuration (30" H x 47-1/2" W x 93.5" L with both leaves up or 30" H x 47-1/2" W x 52.75 L with banquet leaves down and narrow insert placed in position). Additionally, a rectangular 20th century center table (with wooden pegs) of the same style as the banquet ends allows for the configuration of the table for maximum banquet length to 117-1/4" L. Center leg on one banquet with old split to the stile. Repairs to banquet end tops near hinges and leaves having two boards with the second board near the end of the leaves (old but possibly not original). Age splits and some surface scratches. Newer holes drilled on drop leaves for pins of newer center sections.
