18th Century antique pair of Chinese HuangHuaLi horseshoe back round arm chairs, QuanYi. Constructed with sweeping crest rail terminating in out swept hooks above the gracefully curved standing on a curved back splat and elegantly curved rear posts, which continue to form the rear legs. The round frame encloses the S-shaped splat, open-works carved with ruyi motif, above the rectangular hard mat seat. The legs are joined by stepped stretchers and a footrest with plain apron and spandrels.
The wood displays attractive golden reddish-brown tone, with translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns appearing like ghost faces and fine grains appearing like wheat pattern motif.

Excellent condition, with normal anomalies in nature, natural wood imperfection, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Normal consider ages and wears.
