This is the stated Second Printing of the First Edition of Hugo Munsterberg's The Folk Arts of Japan (168 pages), published by Tuttle (Tokyo) in 1958. The cover (app. 7.875" x 8.5), decorative cloth boards that transition to blue cloth toward the spine, is in good overall condition, with a faded (water) stain toward the bottom of the spine, extending into the front cover. as well as a sunned spine, extending into the front and back covers, but with no prominent stains, and with the lettering clearly legible. The spine is straight and securely connected. There are no tears. The inside is very good. There are light stains to the top edges, but few stains, none of which are significant, to the page faces. There are no stamps or other attachments. There is no writing. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. The decorative rice papers inside cover spreads are clean and unfaded. All the art reproductions, and all text, are also unfaded and clearly legible. There are no page tears or notable creases. The above photos are accurate reflections of the group's conditions.
