Prohibition Era hidden decanter set comprising gilt rimmed decanter and four glasses hidden within a stack of six leather bound books, circa 1920s
Approx. overall height 5.5", width 7", depth 4.25"; decanter approx. height 4.75".
Provenance: From the Estate of Mrs. Ivan Allen III of Atlanta, Georgia.

Condition

Overall good condition. Repair to top of decanter at rim. Minor gilt loss to decanter and bottles, commensurate with age and usage. Book motif box shows signs of separation at hinge. Slight fraying to threads at hinge. No further signs of loss, damage, or repair.
