NIGERIAN KORO BEADED HELMETS, TWO, H 7''-14'':Two beaded masks, one from the Nigeria that has large eye, mouth, and ear holes; made with woven grass and red beans (H 14'', W 9''). It is worn by a warrior that has killed an enemy. The second has a bridge spanning from the front to the back with adornments of spiked sea shells; having the same woven grass and bean base (H 7'', W 16'')
Condition
The first helmet should have cotton tassels and a cotton point at top; both are missing. The second appears to be missing shells at the center bridge. Both are fragile and have some beads unraveling. MJ The second helmet also has loose shells. RB 12-29-17
