Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, ca. 2nd millennium BCE. A petite carved stone stamp seal bead, laterally perforated for suspension, with a pale-yellow coloration on the topside and wavy black and gray inclusions beneath. The underside showcases a striding male figure beside a tall palm branch, with a long skirt, triangular hat, and outstretched arms, with a multi-pointed star above and a crescent moon below his open hand. An accompanying light-orange putty stamp impression is included in order to showcase how the stamp's incised imagery would appear in ancient times. Size: 0.55" L (1.4 cm).
