Description
Vigorously rendered black felt-tip marker on paper signed at bottom right "Mark di Suvero" in pencil. Given by the artist, in 1972, to a curator while preparing his Eindhoven exhibition.This "working" sketch depicts the sculpture that was later installed in front of the van Abbemuseum. For this reason di Suvero folded the sheet to have it with him during construction.

Condition
Light age-toning, faint water stain at left edge, creases at corners, light soiling at edges, two horizontal folds at center, and a small knife slash in the bottom left quadrant.
