Important Viking ceremonial necklace circa 10th-11th century CE. Crafted from 900+ purity silver.There are two strands of hand woven sterling chain at the back of the necklace which are 4mm in diameter. The front of the piece is anchored by two thick triangular breast pieces, off of which cascades five strands of large filigree chain. There are also four 3" chain tassels which hand off of each of the triangular pieces. This necklace measures approximately 32" long in total wearable length measured from the shortest strand.

Excellent condition for an antiquity. One link of the woven chain is broken but intact and secure as can be seen in the 11th picture. There is also a small silver loss to one of the applied pieces on the left triangular plate as can be seen in the 3rd and 9th pictures
