A lovely circular German sterling silver pill box featuring elegant engine-turned design work in the center that is surrounded by an ornate foliage-motif band. This kind of patterning that was created through engine turning was very popular in the 1910-20's. The box opens and closes nicely and is in great working condition. It is a lovely vintage item, perfect for carrying around pills, or even jewelry, or some other small personal items. The piece is marked in very small lettering with "Sterling" and "Germany" on the interior of the base lip.

The base has a smooth finish, and here you can see some minor scratches tot he silver but otherwise it is in great shape. The box measures approximately 1-1/2 inches in diameter and about 3/8 of an inch tall. Fits nicely in the hand. Weighs 16.2 grams. A wonderful addition to a silver box collection.
