Georg Pencz (ca 1500-1550) Pigritia (Sloth) engraving 3.35 x 2.15 inches Pigritia (Sloth) from the seven deadly sins - Ca. 1541. Engraving signed with his monogram GP upper right. Whole-length, winged female figure in frontal view, the head in profile to right; an ass at right; from a series of seven engravings. c.1541 Engraving. Print made by: Georg Pencz. Signed with monogram at upper right and lettered in lower margin: 'PIGRICIA INVISA SUM OMNIBUS'. Reference: Hollstein 110 / Landau 1978 99 / Bartsch VIII.352.100.With two collection stamps on the backside. Formerly in the Kessler Museum in Hannover.
