Description
Frederick Lueders (1875-1970) hammered brass bookrack with incredibly beautiful repousse Monterey Cypress trees. Lueders was trained by and worked for Elizabeth Burton of Santa Barbara from 1902-1909. He lived and worked as a designer and metalsmith in Pasadena from 1910-1912. Lueders made the lamp in the entrance to The Gamble House in Pasadena. His works are extremely rare. Lueders exhibited at the Seattle Alaska Yukon Exhibition and is listed right next to Dirk van Erp in the catalog. Signed LD for Lueders Design. Excellent original patina. 5″h x 10.25″w x 7″d.
