Description
A group of eight telegrams in Russian and French sent by the Grand Duke and Tsesarevich Georgy Alexandrovich (1871-1899), then living in Abastumani to alleviate the symptoms of tuberculosis, to his French tutor Ferdinand Thormeyer in Saint Petersburg. The telegrams demonstrate the Grand Duke's interest in photography and his various interests prior to his death in August 1899. Various sizes, about 7 x 9 1/4 in. Discoloration and bent corners consistent with age. 1012-036C.
Condition
Overall good condition. Paper somewhat discolored and brittle consistent with telegram paper of the periord.
