DESCRIPTION: Early 1900s Autelco Gray Public Paystation Telephone manufactured by the Gray Telephone Pay Station Company. Paper insert on front of box marked “Autelco Paystation – Automatic Electric Company – Northlake, Ill., U.S.A.” in lower left and right corners. Back of wall box is stamped “Gray Tel. Pay Station. Co. – Hartford, Conn.”. Includes the transmitter, receiver, grabber top lock switch-hook, and wall or shelf adaptable mounting plate. Features three slots for coin deposit for quarters, dimes and nickels. MEASUREMENTS: 11-1/4” high x 6” wide x 4-1/2” deep. CONDITION: Overall wear including scuffing and rusting as consistent with age and use.
