Likely French, 18th century. Close matched pair of stone carved brackets probably from architectural fragments, both square shaped with carved projecting face, appearing to be sad with down turned mouth above a foliate carved neck trailing to entwining ribbons. Approximate height for both 12", width12", depth 6.75" and 6.25". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
