Description
Two Vintage Etchings both purchased at the Ferdinand Roten Galleries in Baltimore MD. Foxing to both mat folders but etchings in good condition. 1- The first etching is by Carol Collette "Old Stone Barn" 114 of 150. Titled, and signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin. Etcher and watercolorist Carol Collette. Born in Toronto and graduated with honors from the Ontario College of Art. After a stay in Europe with her artist husband John Collette, she began to experiment with etching using a series of Cape Cod sketches as the basis for her first works and developed her etching technique in tandem with her adept use of watercolors. Image 5 1/2"x4. Etching is in good condition. 2- Lawrence Barone "Tree in Meadow" Etching. Numbered 35/50, and signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin. Lawrence C. Barone lives in and maintains a studio and gallery in Sackets Harbor, NY. Image measures 4.25"x3". Etching in good condition. In Mats largest 15.50x11" Weight 6 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate.
