attributed ALFREDO LOBOS ARANGUIZ (Chilean/Spanish 1890-1917) A PAINTING, "View down the Cobblestone Street with Figure and Cart," 19TH CENTURY, oil on canvas mounted to masonite, signed L/R "A. Lobos." 10" x 11 7/8" NOTE: One of three Lobos brothers, taught by Fernando Alvarez de Sotomayor, leader of the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Chile. The brothers were members of the "Generation of Thirteen" (referring to the year 1913), a bohemian artist group recognized for their superior artistry at the time.
Condition
Some craquelure, surface spots and soil, a small tear in foreground center with losses, would benefit from professional cleaning,but otherwise in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
