Description
A VICTORIAN BIRD'S-EYE MAPLE AND VARIOUS WOODS INLAID PARQUETRY OCCASIONAL TABLE, POSSIBLY GERMAN/AUSTRIAN, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, the parquetry square top composed of bird's eye maple, mahogany, oak, satinwood, and other woods, with rounded edged trim enclosing double broad bands of bird's eye maple centering conforming multiple rows of chevron patterned inlay centering a large "X," above an inset flat frieze and molded border supported by a turned baluster form columnar support raised on four shaped legs with paired maple string line decoration. Height: 29 7/8" Width: 26 7/8" Depth: 26 7/8"
Condition
Good condition, central bird's eye maple square has some age splits and there are some minor marks and wear throughout from use.
